How it got here.
The Northern Lights story begins before this feminized packet. In Sensi Seeds' account, the line was developed in the Pacific Northwest by a group it calls the Northern Lights Crew. Numbered plants and seeds travelled to the Netherlands in the early 1980s, where Dutch breeders worked them into the line that became famous there.
Sensi dates Northern Lights' Dutch debut to 1985. It became a reference point for later crosses, including Northern Lights #5 x Haze. Those historical names refer to a family of related breeding material, not a single plant that can be identified by a modern label alone.
The product on this page is Sensi's feminized, photoperiod version. Sensi also sells regular and automatic Northern Lights seeds; their seed behavior is different, even when the family name is shared.
What the breeder describes.
What the breeder describes
Sensi's feminized line is presented as sturdy and relatively compact, with broad leaves and thick resin on clustered flowers. The company gives an indoor height of roughly 80–130 cm and a flowering window of 45–50 days. Those are growing estimates, not measured outcomes for every environment.
Aroma and character
The breeder's notes move from earth and pungency to fruit and herbs after curing. This is a useful description of the line's intended character; aroma still varies with the individual plant, harvest, cure and storage.
What we cannot tell from the name
There is no batch certificate of analysis for this profile. A universal THC percentage, CBD percentage or terpene ranking would be guesswork. Those values belong to a particular tested harvest, not to the words Northern Lights.
Sensi describes a strong, deeply relaxing effect. That is its product description, not a reliable forecast for every person or batch.
