How it got here.
Skunk #1 did not begin as a Dutch invention. Sensi traces the early hybrids to American breeding that brought together material from the Americas, Afghanistan and Thailand.
The company's own version was selected and backcrossed over generations. Sensi places its introduction in the late 1970s and credits the stabilized line as a parent for later hybrids.
Skunk became shorthand for many unrelated products. Naming the breeder and regular seed version helps keep this particular lineage separate from that loose cultural label.
What the breeder describes.
The selected line
Sensi calls its regular version a stable hybrid and gives a 45–50 day flowering window. Those are breeder descriptions, not measured results for every plant.
Aroma in context
The product page emphasizes earthy and sweet notes. The actual profile of a harvested plant still depends on the individual and the cure.
What the name misses
Other companies and seed formats also use Skunk #1. A shared name alone cannot establish that two seed lots are the same.
Sensi describes a combination of creative and relaxing effects; those words are not a prediction for an individual harvest.

Breeder statements are attributed. They describe the named line, not the chemistry or effects of an untested harvest.
