How it got here.
Dutch Passion dates Orange Bud to an extensive Skunk selection in the early 1980s. The aim, it says, was a fruitier expression without leaving the family’s growth traits behind.
The selection later became part of the Dutch coffeeshop era. It also gave Dutch Passion an Orange Family of later seed lines, which should not be collapsed into this original product.
The modern packet is sold in several formats. This record follows the feminized, photoperiod Orange Bud rather than Auto Orange Bud or Orange Bud 2.0.
What the breeder describes.
The plant
Dutch Passion describes a vigorous plant with a 7–9 week flowering window and some stretch after flowering starts.
Aroma in context
The orange name refers to the breeder’s sweet citrus and nectarine descriptions. It is not an assay of a particular harvest.
